Biography

A master of his craft
Brad Dillon ACS has proven himself to be one of the most talented cinematographers in Asia. A committed professional with world-class ability, he is a master at achieving stunning visuals under any condition. He is a cameraman with a Director’s eye and is reputed for giving the Producer visuals that tell the story. His desire, enthusiasm and common sense in pressure cooker situations are equally matched by his personable, calm and dependable nature.

Brad kick started his career December 1988 with Network Ten in Brisbane, Australia, while studying the craft at the Brisbane School of Cinematography. Through his tenure with the network he was presented opportunities to work on commercial and studio production, drama, documentaries, wildlife, travel, kids content, sports and outside broadcasts, music videos, news & current affairs, and short films. He also benefited from time spent in editing, and with lighting and sounds departments, working both in studios and on location.

April 1996 saw Brad accept a 3 year contract offer to relocate to Singapore and play a key role in setting up the production arm of Singapore TV12’s sports department. 3 years on with freelance opportunities on offer, Brad set up ‘Most Wanted Pictures’ (www.mostwantedpix.tv) headquartered in Singapore, embarking on the next phase of his career. Sort after to work for production companies, broadcasters, agencies, and multinationals all over the world, his career has presented the opportunity to experience the four corners of the globe and its many cultures.

To date Brad has more than 70 international awards for his cinematography in categories as diverse as Documentary - Cinema & TV, Wildlife & Nature, Dramatised Documentary, Commercial Advertising, Magazine programmes, Corporate & Educational, TV Station Break – Openers/Closers, Reality, News & Current Affairs.

In Sept 2012, an impressive line up of Australian Cinematographers Society accredited members comprising greats like Oscar winning DoP, Andrew Lesnie ACS ASC and Don McAlphine ACS ASC in the judging panel granted Brad accreditation to the society, Brad Dillon ACS, number 338. A lifetime dream realised!
